Protect your rights in an auto accident

1. Immediately report the accident to the police, sheriff, or State Police.

2. Write down the name, address and insurance company of the owner of the other car.

3. Take down the other driver’s information: name, address, phone number, and driver’s license number and license plate number.

4. Give ONLY this same information to the other driver.

5. DON’T discuss the accident with anyone or blame anyone, including yourself.

6. Write down the names, addresses and phone numbers of any witnesses who saw the accident but weren’t involved in it.

7. Report the accident to your insurance company immediately.

8. Contact the Law Offices of Barrock & Barrock if you need any advice related to your accident. We can get your car repaired, help with any law enforcement problems, assist in getting you to the best medical providers for injury, and deal with any insurance adjusters. Initial advice is provided free, and, if you retain our office, there is never a fee unless we get you money.
