- Write down the name, address and insurance company of the owner of the other car
- Take down the other driver’s information (name, address, phone number, driver’s license number and license plate number)
- Give ONLY this same information to the other driver, nothing more
- DON’T discuss the accident with anyone or blame anyone, including yourself
- Write down the names, addresses and phone numbers of any witnesses who saw the accident but weren’t involved in it
- Report the accident to your insurance company immediately
